AM/PM Day 1 in Tokyo 9/1
Today is the first day of my holiday, I got up around 0830hrs to finalize everyone's for the trip. Just enough clothing for the 5 days, camera and charger, some face and body care and cosmetics...Hope nothing needed would be left behind.
Since I wanted to be able to shop at Duty Free at the airport after immigration. Therefore, I asked to meet Cherry early at the airport. I never thought the check-in counter won't be open even if we were early. By the time we get to the airport, the ANA counter really wasn't open. In order to kill sometime, Cherry and I went to the arrival hall to check out the Hyatt booth. We went to chat with a Dorothy (the FO girl to asked to transfer to airport). After a long long chat, Dorothy decided to accompany us to check-in as well as taking us to lunch. Hey, why not since they get discount for working at the airport. However, that took up most of our time and after we passed immigration, we only have time to wondered around a bit in front of the shops and didn't manage to find anything.
We took the ANA NH910 to Tokyo. The flight was pretty full and Cherry sat at the window seat while I was sitting in the middle. A lady from the States sat beside at the aisle. Food were okay but not as good as I expected since JAS provides very nice meals and also desserts. They were still showing that Mr. and Mrs. Smith on the flight which I watched over a dozen time already last time when I fly back from Toronto to Hong Kong.
Traffic from the Narita Airport to the hotel is amazingly slow. Our flight arrived Tokyo at 2000hrs, but by the time we arrived to the hotel, it was already 2300hrs. Since didn't want to waste our time, we head out to the am/pm convenience store to get some drinks and snacks. There goes our first day of holiday....from am to pm.....not much done other then flew from one place to the other.
